Hanwha Japan's X-Tube AS301DTS USB Vacuum Tube Dongle will retail in Japan for $45 USD and include the USB dongle with DTS technology along with the headphones which support DTS sound. After all, the dongle doesn’t do you any good without some speakers for enjoyment.
The dongle contains a vacuum tube-shaped headphone jack that glows blue when in use. When combined with its Windows-only software and compatible headgear (both included) this bad boy promises DTS Surround Sensation (DTS' surround sound effect from 2 speakers), and looks really cool to boot

The two tube radio receiver hat appeared within the pages of the 1949 June addition of Radio Electronics (Kind of a 1949 iPod.) cost $7.95 and was manufactured by the American Merri-Lei Corporation of Brooklyn, N.Y. It came in 8 colors; Lipstick Red, Tangerine, Flamingo, Canary Yellow, Chartreuse, Blush Pink, Rose Pink, and Tan. The radio was powered by an external battery pack.

CUSTOMIZED EPISODE INSPIRED DISPLAY:
In the TV episode, Mr Spock & Captain Kirk are hurled back to the 1930s by The Guardian of Forever to search for Dr. McCoy who entered 'The Guardian' earlier. In order to operate his tricorder, Mr Spock must built a large and complex electronic circuit, using only the materials of the period - wooden framing, vacuum tubes, bus-fuses, coils, transformers, and other crude electronic components.
The base is solid pine. The working part of the display was fashioned from light-weight wood, styrene plastic (simulated ceramic tube mounts), hand turned copper and brass wire coils, and real vintage vacuum tubes. The simulated electronic device was deliberately built to look primitive and hastily assembled like Mr Spock's did in the show. It was meant to have the same 'stone knives and bear skins' crudeness about it as the TV prop. For a finishing touch a 10-post chaser board rigged it to light up the vacuum tubes. The tricorder is free-standing on the display base and can be placed anywhere desired (in front of the vacuum tubes).

High Power Vacuum Tube Tesla Coil
The vacuum tube device is a high powered Hartley radio frequency oscillator tuned to the resonant frequency of the secondary coil. The circuit uses a medium powered 833A triode transmitting tube that inherently has a high grid to plate capacitance and is readily available. The plate section of the coil is wound with 1/4 inch copper tubing. The grid feed back coil is wound with #16 litz wire. The secondary is wound with #24 litz wire on a properly prepped plastic form.
These spectacular display devices produce arcs and sparks quite unlike the damped spark gap driven Tesla coils. Operation does not require a noisy spark gap that produces copious amounts of RFI radio frequency interference, but operates efficiently at the quarter wave frequency of the secondary coil
